Napa Art and Wine

Passion - how do you define it? Each of us has a definition for it. My good friend, Linda Cordair, owns an art gallery in downtown Napa. It's a beautiful gallery. Quent Fine Art is located at 1301 First Street, Napa, CA.

Linda's passion - art. She breathes, eats, and drinks art. She also loves helping others follow their passion. Linda sent me a text today that said "Check out" the Quent Cordair Facebook page. I did and to my amazement she had a photo of a beautiful piece of art with two bottles of my wine.

The Facebook status read:

Purchase "The Return of Joy" by Tamara Bonet this month and we will include some of our favorite Passaggio Wines as a thank you.

See a larger image of this amazing sculpture and additional details at the Quent Fine Art Website.

If you haven't been to the Quent Fine Art Gallery, take the opportunity to visit. You won't be disappointed. When you walk in Linda may just hand you a glass of wine and let you enjoy meandering through her beautiful pieces of art.

Girls Gone Wine

When Girls Gone Wine, a wonderful group of women just following their passion, said they were coming to visit +Passaggio Wines in San Francisco I was so excited and pleased that they would choose me among all the great wineries they have visited. When I mean visit the winery, I mean storm the winery. This group of ladies, made up of various wine industry talent, is such a vibrant and fun group. They showed up at +Dogpatch WineWorks around 12 o'clock ready to taste my wine and spend some great time together.

Wonderful friends, great food, awesome wines....made for a wonderful day!!!

Girls Gone Wine
+Thea Dwelle+Jerae Knutson+Leilani Carrara+Rachel Voorhees+Grace Hoffman +Liza S+Sarah Doyle+Elizabeth Olson, just to name a few, were among the 13 ladies who graced the winery this past Saturday.

It was my pleasure pouring Passaggio Wines for them and showing them around the winery. Afterwards we all went to The Chocolate Lab for lunch...oh my!!! Check out a couple of these dishes...

What a memorable day!!!!

Wisdom and Fortitude

It's been awhile since my last blog post...Following Your Passion can get very busy you know...LOL.  Sometimes I loose track of time and forget that I haven't written a blog in awhile.

My passion, Passaggio Wines, has gone through some changes this past year.  The wine bottles are sporting new labels, and there is a new website design being completed as I write this blog. (stay tuned for that)

Each harvest brings a new adventure and new challenges.  Each new challenge must be met head on with wisdom and fortitude.  Harvest of 2011 was quite a challenge for wine making.  At least it was for me.  I believe that the 2011 Passaggio Wines are some of the best thus far since 2007.

I certainly hope you are up for your challenges this year with wisdom and fortitude.  Whatever challenges you have ahead of you - I encourage you to meet them head on...

I would love to hear about them...

Passaggio Wines Harvest 2011

Harvest 2011 started with Chef Robin White launching her cold soup week which took us right into walking the vineyards and tasting the 2011 vintage. It has been an awesome year for Passaggio Wines. There are some new and excited things happening on the horizon...

Passaggio Wines will be launching the Rose Colored Glasses label and partnering with Chef Robin White in launching Social Justice Pinot Noir. Also, stay tuned for "Passage Way" the Passaggio Wine Club coming your way soon...

And last but not least - the best part of Harvest 2011...the birth of my grandson, Levi Robert, born on Sept 29th.

Turn up the music and enjoy my journey this season...

Giving Back

It's that time of year again - yep...it's Christmas time. The season for giving and sharing. Last year Passaggio Wines gave 10% of their December sales to their local shelter G.R.I.P.

G.R.I.P.'s focus is on three core initiatives: providing food, shelter and supportive services to help homeless individuals and families make the transition to self-sufficiency. The mission of the Greater Richmond Interfaith Program (GRIP) is to transform the lives of homeless, hungry, and disenfranchised people.

This year Passaggio Wines will be giving to G.R.I.P. again but also sharing the cost of the wines you purchase.

Passaggio Wines will give free shipping (ground only) on a purchase of two bottles or more for the Christmas Holiday (from Dec 3rd - Dec 31st). Just type the word sharing in the coupon code section on the Passaggio Wines Website. 10% of the purchase will go to G.R.I.P. - help me in sharing with them during this season of giving.

Thanks for sharing

Let the Good Times Roll

Well...harvest is upon us...sort of.  We have only brought in a few tons of Sauv Blanc and Pinot Noir.  We have had a slow start to say the least.  I have a feeling that we will get hit hard soon and wineries will be bringing the different varietals in all at once.  Won't that be a hoot.  "Bring it on"...I say.  It's what "we" live for...right?

Anyway...Passaggio Chard and Pinot Grigio are well underway and mostly through their fermentation...stay tuned for what's next...

If you see those grape trucks on the road, get out of their way...they are in a hurry to get back for the next load.

Cheers,

Passaggio Wines
